My Doctor requested that I have a mamogram two years ago. I finally did it on February 12 of this year. I am thankful to God that I am fine and healthy. I know many women who have their first mammogram receive news that all is not OK.

This is why during three days in October, I plan to walk a total of 60 miles. The walk will start at Bear Mountain State Park near New York City and end in Manhattan.

Most of the money raised by the AVON crusade is through donations collected by participants of the AVON Breast Cancer 3-day walk. A key part of my participation in this event is that I've agreed to raise a minimum of $1,900. I have set a personal goal of $5,000. In order to meet that goal, I am asking for your help. This is a huge undertaking, which I cannot accomplish alone.
